(Job ) BACK OFFICE MEDICAL ASSISTANT for PULMONARY Medical Practice in LOS ANGELES
JOB DETAILS
- Support 3 medical assistants and a patient scheduler with front and back office tasks
- Spanish Medical interpretation for physicians for Spanish speaking patients
- Room patients and performing basic vital signs
- Prepare charts for clinic day (retrieving medical records from various portals to have on hand for the visit)
- Medical records filing from EHR Fax Server to Patient E-Chart
- Handle medical records requests from insurance, legal, patients, and referring MD's
- Assist with Scheduling Follow Up Appts for patients after their visit
- Assist with prescription refills and prior authorizations for medication
- Assist with front office roles as needed
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience and an MA Diploma
- Spanish fluency with the ability to perform accurate medical interpretation (Korean fluency or dual Spanish/Korean fluency qualifies for higher compensation)
- Proficiency in taking vitals and recording concise patient medical history
- High-energy, pleasant, and customer-service-driven approach with patients
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent time management and initiative in a fast-paced environment
- Working knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and compliance
SCHEDULE, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Monday- Friday Can pick schedule (8:30a-5:00p, 9:00a-5:30p, or 9:30a-6:00p)
- $27/hr (occasional overtime)
