Job description


We are seeking a dedicated Dentist for a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) position in Montana. Our client is looking for a leader for a 240-day assignment, working Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. This role focuses on overseeing medical policies, managing staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving initiatives to improve healthcare outcomes within a clinic setting.

Responsibilities and Duties


  • Develop and implement medical policies and procedures to ensure quality patient care

  • Lead and manage medical staff, providing guidance and support for professional development

  • Ensure the medical service and provider culture embraces and demonstrates the value of being culturally resonant to community needs and practices

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align medical strategies with organizational goals

  • Oversee regulatory compliance and ensure adherence to industry standards

  • Drive initiatives to improve healthcare outcomes and patient satisfaction

  • Represent the organization in medical conferences, meetings, and industry events

  • Provide clinical guidance to providers and ensure compliance with accreditation standards

  • Participate in strategic planning and budgeting processes

  • Coordinate with the Chief Information Officer to ensure IT needs are met

  • Engage in community relationship building and represent the organization in public forums



Additional Information


  • Required Board Certifications: Family Medicine

  • EMR: Dentrix

  • Setting: Outpatient (Clinic Only)

  • LOA: 240 Days

  • Staffing Mix: Fully staffed IHS clinic

  • Patient volume: 0-12

  • Role focus: Primarily a Chief Medical Officer position; direct patient care is negotiable beyond CMO duties
