Opportunity:Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology
Job Details:- Permanent placement opportunity in Gastroenterology with an expected start date of July 1st or sooner upon credentialing
- Will consider fellowship-trained providers within 1 year of residency completion
- Will consider unlicensed candidates with strong ties to Orange County or California
- Approximately 12 patient encounters per shift
- Board certification required; ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Estimated credentialing timeframe of 90 days
- Perform upper GI endoscopy including with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeding sites, and injection of varices
- Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) placement required
- ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic) preferred but not required
- Perform esophageal dilatation and manometry
- Perform small bowel biopsy
- Perform lower GI endoscopy including sigmoidoscopy (flexible required, rigid preferred) and colonoscopy with biopsy and polypectomy
- Insertion and management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube required
- Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) preferred; no EUS expectation in this role
- No liver biopsy required
