Locums - Anderson, Indiana, General Surgery Opening

Clinical Role

• Start January 1, 2027 with ongoing need
• 2 General Surgeons requested
• Call-only coverage
• Assigned and unassigned patients
• Hospitalist service handles admissions
• Level III Trauma Center
• Stroke-certified facility

Schedule & Call

• Every weekend or every other weekend, depending on availability
• Call coverage from Thursday at 7:00 pm-Monday at 7:00 am on every week or every other week basis
• 30-minute call response time required
• Call ratio: 1:4
• Approximately 8 patients seen while on call
• Approximately 3 phone consultations

Support & Systems

• Epic EMR

Requirements & Credentialing

• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Active Indiana license required
• Local Physicians - Preferred
• BLS required
