Orthopedic Surgeon Locums Job in Michigan December 2026-Ongoing
Coverage Details
Coverage dates: December 1, 2026 - ongoing, orientation one day prior to starting coverage
Full-time inclusive of inpatient and outpatient services
Shift Details:
Call: 10-11 days per month
Call Shifts: 7am - 7am
Working days outside of call will be in outpatient clinic/in the OR
Clinic Hours: 8am - 4:30pm
Office Days: Mon/Wed (open for discussion)
OR Days: Tues/Thurs (open for discussion)
Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm
Office - new and established patients, injections, procedures, elective surgery, ED/ER , follow ups from call, & full scope outpatient orthpedics
Call - consults/rounding/emergent surgeries, general Orthopedics, & level 2 trauma center
No clinic/OR
Requirements:
50 Orthopedic Surgery cases within the past 12 months
Board Certified or Board Eligible
Active Michigan license or IMLC
Assignment Details:
Full scope Orthopedic Surgery
Will typically see 3-4 patients/hour in clinic
Surgeons typically operate on 60-70 cases/month (inpatient and outpatient)
System average case volume/month is 35
Support staff: APPs depending on volume (no supervision required)
EMR: Epic/Dragon
