Clinical Responsibilities
The locum physician will provide OB/GYN call coverage in a hospital setting. Responsibilities include:
- Responding to obstetric and gynecologic calls
- Managing deliveries and related clinical needs
- Providing callbacks when necessary
- Supporting the nurse-midwife when additional physician coverage is required
- Completing timely patient documentation in Cerner
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN
- Minimum of one year of OB/GYN experience
- Active Arizona medical license or eligibility through the IMLC
- Active DEA
- Recent and consistent clinical activity
- Current case logs
- Ability to complete facility credentialing
- Completion of required Cerner training before the first shift
The facility is willing to consider licensing candidates for coverage dates that allow sufficient time to obtain an Arizona license.
Credentialing
- Credentialing is expected to take approximately 30 days
- Temporary privileges may be available for urgent needs involving physicians with active Arizona licenses and clean credentialing files
- Cerner training is mandatory before the assignment begins
- Cerner orientation is approximately four hours and is completed remotely
- Additional onsite orientation may be arranged if required

The facility requires current:
- Influenza vaccination documentation
- COVID-19 vaccination documentation
Medical or religious exemptions and declinations may be considered according to facility guidelines.
