Non-Powered Conveyor Assembler - 1st Shift
Location: Sandusky, OH
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
Local Company is seeking dependable and mechanically inclined individuals to join our team as Non-Powered Conveyor Assemblers on 1st shift. This position is responsible for assembling conveyor systems and components according to engineering specifications while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble non-powered conveyor systems, frames, rollers, supports, and related components
- Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and work instructions
- Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices to complete assemblies accurately
- Verify finished products meet quality and engineering standards
- Install conveyor components and hardware according to specifications
- Perform inspections and identify any assembly defects or issues
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all company safety and quality procedures
- Assist with additional production and assembly tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Previous assembly, manufacturing, construction, automotive, or mechanical experience preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings is a plus
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic math and measurement skills required
Physical Requirements:
- Stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the shift
- Regularly lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform repetitive assembly tasks in a production environment
Work Environment:
Industrial manufacturing facility with exposure to machinery, moderate noise levels, and varying temperatures. Required PPE, including steel-toe footwear, must be worn at all times.
