Job description

Facility in Lexington, KY seeking CV surgery locums coverage Rates: $170/hr regular hourly, $300/night call $1500/24 hr call and $250/hr call back Key Responsibilities This is a full-time position requiring at least one week of M-F coverage per month, including call. Your duties will include:

First-Assisting: You must be proficient in first-assisting, endoscopic vein harvesting, and CABG.
Inpatient Care: Morning rounds with faculty on 5-10 ICU patients. You will not be responsible for signing in as first call for any patients.
On-Call: You will be required to take night call from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. and weekend call.

Provider Requirements

Specialty: You will be part of the Cardiovascular Surgery team.
Experience: A minimum of one year of recent experience first-assisting in cardiovascular procedures is required, along with skills in endoscopic vein harvesting.
EMR: You must have experience with Epic.
Board Status: You must be a Board Certified PA or a Nurse Practitioner with an RNFA.
Licensure: An active Kentucky (KY) license is required. The facility is willing to license PAs for this position.
Vaccination: Both COVID-19 and Flu vaccines are required, with medical or religious exemptions allowed.

Start Date

The target start date is February 2, 2026.

Additional Details

This is an academic/training setting.
Privileging takes an estimated 180 days, and no emergency or temporary privileges are available.
This is a non-solo position, where you will be working with faculty and a team.
The contract length is 3-6 months with an option to extend.
