Operator I
Location: Westford, MA (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $21.50 per hour
Contract Duration: Through May 14, 2027
Schedule: 5:00 AM-3:30 PM
Position Overview:
We are seeking an Operator I to support the manufacturing of high-quality medical devices in a production environment. This position involves assembling, repairing, and testing medical device components, including pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related assemblies.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable handling small components, and able to follow standardized work instructions and quality procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Perform assembly, repair, and testing operations on medical devices and related components.
- Follow established work instructions, safety guidelines, and manufacturing procedures.
- Maintain accurate production documentation, quality records, and product traceability.
- Use electronic data collection systems and basic computer software.
- Communicate production issues, problems, and solutions to manufacturing personnel.
- Participate in quality improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
- Support Quality Management System (QMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written procedures and verbal instructions.
- Ability to handle and maneuver small components and parts.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- Ability to prioritize assignments and make sound decisions.
- Manufacturing, assembly, testing, or medical device experience is preferred.
Important Production-Area Requirements:
Employees must comply with strict gowning and hygiene requirements. These include restrictions on loose or shedding clothing, open-toe shoes, jewelry, artificial nails, nail polish, makeup, and scented personal products. Appropriate clothing and footwear are required.
Compensation: $21.50 per hour
Work Arrangement: Onsite in Westford, Massachusetts
