Advanced Wound Care Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) with a background in advanced wound care to join our clinic-based team. This is a part-time role (3 days per week) with strong potential to grow into a full-time position as our practice expands.

Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers, venous and arterial ulcers, pressure injuries, surgical wounds, and lower-extremity wounds
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including advanced wound modalities and cellular/tissue-based products as clinically appropriate
- Perform clinic-based procedures such as sharp and selective debridement within scope of practice
- Document encounters accurately and completely to support quality care and compliant billing
- Collaborate with the supervising/collaborating physician and the broader care team to coordinate patient management
- Educate patients and caregivers on wound care, prevention, and self-management
- Monitor healing progress and adjust treatment plans to drive timely, effective outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant license in the State of Nevada (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- National board certification (e.g., ANCC/AANP for NPs; NCCPA for PAs)
- Demonstrated wound care experience - this is essential
- Current DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Wound care certification (e.g., CWS, CWCN, CWON, WCC, or equivalent)
- Experience with advanced wound modalities and cellular/tissue-based products
- Familiarity with Medicare wound care documentation and coverage requirements
Schedule & Compensation
- Part-time, 3 days per week, with potential to transition to full-time
- Competitive compensation commensurate with experience
- Clinic-based practice in Reno, NV
