Protean Med is seeking a Medical Director to join PACE program in Louisiana. This is an opportunity to lead a dedicated care team and help improve the health, quality of life, and independence of older adults.
Location: Baton Rouge & Lafayette, Louisiana
Position Type: Permanent Full-Time Onsite
Compensation: $250,000 $290,000 annually
Bonus: Up to 10% of base salary based on clinical outcomes
Key Responsibilities
Provide medical leadership and supervise participant care
Oversee clinical quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance
Lead Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives
Mentor clinical staff and collaborate with hospitals and community providers
Support care planning, pharmacy coordination, and EMR optimization
Participate in a shared 24/7 on-call rotation
Requirements
MD or DO with an active Louisiana medical license
Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine; Geriatrics preferred
At least 1 year of experience caring for frail or elderly patients
Prior leadership or supervisory experience
Current BLS, CDS certification, and DEA registration
Valid driver s license, insurance, and reliable transportation
