Position Highlights: Position: Laboratory Assistant II Location: Swedish Hospital Full Time/Part Time: Part Time, 16 hours Hours: Monday-Friday, 11am-7:30pm, rotating weekends and holidays What you will do: Provide customer support as a liaison between laboratory and providers. Specimen processing and handling according to established guidelines, protocol and procedures. Record and document specimen information in Laboratory Information System. Prepare and track specimen for transport to reference laboratories. Maintain organized records, and are HIPPA compliant. Maintain and clean laboratory equipment. Assist with inventory control and supply ordering. Adhere to all safety protocol and infection control measures, including the proper disposal of biohazardous materials. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards, including CAP. What you will need: Education: High school Diploma or equivalent Certification: N/A Experience: 1 year phlebotomy or laboratory experience Unique or Preferred Skills: Strong customer service, communicate and organizational skills.
