Commercial Roofing Working Foreman

$36-$42/hour DOE + Overtime
Full-Time W-2 Statewide Texas Travel

JGA Roofing Systems is looking for an experienced Commercial Roofing Working Foreman to join our team.

We need someone who knows commercial roofing, knows how to lead people and is still willing to work alongside the crew when the job requires it.

This is not a position for someone who wants to stand on the ground and watch everyone else work.

We are looking for someone who can take control of a job in the field, keep the crew productive, maintain quality, communicate with the Project Manager and solve problems before they put the project behind.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Lead commercial roofing crews and work alongside them as needed.
• Plan the day's work and keep the crew moving.
• Make sure installations meet project details and manufacturer requirements.
• Read plans, roof details and project specifications.
• Know what materials, tools and equipment the crew needs before work stops because something is missing.
• Track progress and communicate daily with the Project Manager.
• Identify field conditions and problems early.
• Coordinate with other trades when necessary.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe jobsite.
• Train less-experienced employees and hold the crew accountable for workmanship.
• Represent JGA professionally with owners, general contractors, inspectors and manufacturer representatives.
• Travel to commercial roofing projects throughout Texas.

What We're Looking For

• Commercial roofing experience is required.
• Previous experience running a commercial roofing crew.
• Strong TPO and low-slope roofing experience.
• Ability to perform commercial roofing work-not just supervise it.
• Ability to read plans, details and specifications.
• Strong understanding of roofing quality and proper installation.
• Able to manage a crew, communicate expectations and hold people accountable.
• Dependable and able to make good decisions in the field.
• Comfortable communicating directly with Project Managers and company leadership.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Willing and able to travel statewide.

Spanish/English bilingual ability is a strong plus.

Pay & Travel

$36-$42/hour depending on commercial roofing and leadership experience

• Overtime

• Company-paid hotel for qualifying out-of-town work
• Per diem for qualifying travel
• Projects throughout Texas
• San Marcos, TX home base
