Medical Director Physician

Job Description:
We are seeking a strong Medical Director (locums) for an Indian Health Services (IHS) facility in NM. This is a non-traditional leadership-heavy assignment requiring an experienced, reliable physician who can step into a high-need environment.

Role Breakdown:

• 75% Medical Director duties (non-clinical / administrative leadership)
• 25% direct patient care

Requirements:

• MUST have prior Medical Director experience
• MUST have Indian Health Services (IHS) experience
• Strong clinical judgment and leadership ability
• Team-oriented, low-drama, dependable personality

Important Notes:

• This facility has had prior locums stability and professionalism are critical
• Looking for someone who can integrate quickly and function independently in a leadership role
• The housing is located roughly 45 minutes - 1 hour away so there will be a longer daily commute
