Job description


  • 3x 13-hour shifts per week (7:00a-8:00p or 7:00p-8:00a)
  • Locums need ongoing availability through March 2027
  • Patient encounters per shift: 8-12
  • Role: Critical Care APP (PA) in cardiac ICU
  • Setting: Level 1 trauma center; 30 beds in department; no pediatrics
  • Team: Works under Intensivist guidance
  • Responsibilities: Daily rounding, patient management, order entry, admissions, post op management
  • Procedures: Arterial lines, central lines, Swan Ganz catheter, IABP removal
  • Advanced device/therapy management: VA & VV ECMO, Impella, LVAD, cardiac transplant
  • Requirements: Board-certified APP with critical care cardiac ICU experience, ACLS, and BLS
  • Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days
