Psychiatry - Child/Adolescent Physician

Locums - Atlanta, Georgia Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Job

Start Date: ASAPJob Duration: Through May 2027

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday

• 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

• No call responsibilities

Practice Details:

• Inpatient psychiatry

• Patients per shift: 14-16

• Provider required to supervise APPs

• EMR: Epic

• Work alongside and receive support from Nurse Practitioners

• Provide and supervise medical and physical care for hospital members admitted to "core" psychiatric hospitals

• Utilize appropriate psychotherapeutic methods, medication management, and treatment plan development

• Collaborate closely with treatment team members, pharmacy, and other hospital staff

• Manage a broad range of psychiatric conditions and patient populations

Patient Population & Clinical Responsibilities:

• Clinical competence treating a wide age range, from pre-adolescent through geriatric patients

• Experience managing a broad range of primary psychiatric diagnoses, including:

  • Mood disorders

  • Psychotic disorders

  • Substance use disorders

• Previous experience working in an inpatient psychiatric setting

Required Qualifications:

• Board Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

• Board Certified or Board Eligible, with board certification required within 24 months of eligibility

• Strong interest in inpatient psychiatry

• Previous inpatient psychiatric experience

• Clinical competence treating a wide age range

• Experience managing a broad range of psychiatric diagnoses

Preferred Qualifications:

• Child/Adolescent Psychiatry Board Certification

• 3+ years of inpatient psychiatric experience

• Epic EMR experience

Required Certifications:

• ABLS

• ACLS

• BLS
