Overview In this role you will lead RTX's federal government relations for civil space, energy, and R&D priorities across RTX's three business units. You will build and execute strategy, engage with Congress and executive agencies, and shape policy in support of RTX programs. You will collaborate with internal leaders to elevate RTX's Washington presence and align legislative priorities with corporate objectives. This is a high-impact, policy-focused position at the intersection of law, national security, and technology.

Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive government relations strategy to advance legislative priorities related to civil space, energy, R&D, and appropriations
- Identify policy and funding opportunities to support RTX service programs across Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, and Raytheon
- Advise RTX business unit Presidents and senior leaders on federal legislative matters affecting programs and funding
- Cultivate relationships with key U.S. government officials to influence laws and regulations in RTX interest
- Collaborate with government affairs leads to enhance RTX's presence in Washington, D.C.
- Provide guidance to program managers and executives on budgetary, legislative, and regulatory matters
- Coordinate with the Civil Commercial Team Lead and RTXPAC to execute strategy and events for the political action committee
- Represent RTX at hearings on Capitol Hill and brief congressional staff on RTX programs
Key requirements- University degree or equivalent experience with minimum 10 years (or advanced degree with minimum 7 years)
- Experience working with Members of Congress, staff, and committees (Capitol Hill experience required)
- Knowledge of legislative processes and funding mechanisms such as annual appropriations
- Experience across relevant committee jurisdictions (CJS, Energy & Water, House Science/Tech, etc.) preferred
- Ability to operate independently in a matrixed organization; strong writing and communication skills
- Knowledge of U.S. military concepts and terminology (preferred)
