Overview In this role you'll lead HDR's BES CFS program in North America, driving growth and operational excellence for construction administration and management in the tech, media, and telecom market. You will align cross-functional teams across market sectors, operations, and professional services to scale delivery and improve profitability. You'll shape risk management, QA/QC, safety, and standardized processes to ensure consistent, high-quality field services. Responsibilities- Define and lead long-term vision and growth strategy for BES CFS, aligned with corporate objectives
- Drive expansion toward a scaled, data center-focused CFS business through targeted market positioning and pursuits
- Identify and capture large, programmatic opportunities in collaboration with market sector and leadership
- Operationalize the strategic plan with executable programs, KPIs, and performance metrics
- Align market sector, professional services, and operations leadership for consistent regional execution
- Implement enterprise initiatives in line with BES priorities
- Establish and maintain standardized processes, procedures, and delivery frameworks across CFS
- Codify best practices, tools, templates, and lessons learned for consistent delivery
- Promote continuous improvement and digital delivery across the CFS program
- Drive financial performance including net fees booked/earned, profitability, utilization, and growth
- Develop CFS pricing strategies and optimize staffing models with data-driven decisions
- Collaborate with regional directors to align staffing, workload, and delivery capacity
- Support area-based growth and resource planning across the matrix organization
- Lead and develop the CFS leadership team and define accountability between strategy and delivery
- Foster safety culture with SH&E partners and ensure QA/QC and standards compliance
- Oversee risk management practices and project reviews for delivery oversight
- Serve as primary connector across CFS capabilities, market sectors, and operations
- Collaborate with other Service Line Directors to advance project lifecycle delivery
- Act as an enterprise-level coordinator to maximize HDR's competitive advantage
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Science or closely related field
- 10+ years in construction planning and management including contracts, scheduling, cost control, safety
- Experience with construction management software (Procore, Prolog, Primavera, Bluebeam)
- Strong people skills and stakeholder management (Owner, Engineer, Contractor)
- Active participant in employee-owned culture

- Professional registration preferred for business class leadership roles involving technical design
