Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant

We are seeking a Locums EmergencyMedicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide nocturnal coverage in a busy emergency department in Lake City, FL. This is a clinical-focusedopportunity within a well-supported emergency medicine team.

• Nocturnist / PM coverage
• 10-12 hour clinical shifts
• No trauma center designation
• Consistent nighttime coverage needed

• 40 ED bays
• Approximately 1.8 patients per hour
• 10-11 EM providers across a 24-hour period
• Standard emergency department support staff
• 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Collaborative team environment

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting to the emergency department.
• Perform appropriate histories, physical examinations, and medical decision-making.
• Develop and implement treatment plans.
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing.
• Perform common emergency medicine procedures within scope of practice.
• Stabilize and manage patients requiring urgent or emergent care.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and consultations as appropriate.
• Complete accurate and timely medical documentation.

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• 1-2 years of emergency medicine experience
