Facility:This facility is a well-established free-standing cancer center that provides comprehensive oncology and hematology services to the surrounding community. The center is supported by a robust team of 7 physicians and 6 advanced practice providers, offering a collaborative and well-resourced environment for locum providers.
Opportunity:Physician - Oncology
Job Details:- Locum coverage needed from November 2 through January 29
- Clinic hours are 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
- Weekend call rotation: Friday (4:30 PM) - Monday (8:00 AM), every 5th or 6th weekend
- Call schedule is 1 week out of every 6-8 weeks
- Patient population includes adult and geriatric patients
- Practice mix is 65% benign hematology and 35% malignant oncology
- Average of 25 patients per day in the outpatient setting
- Average of 20 patients per day in the inpatient/rounding setting
- Outpatient and inpatient services are separate and will not be covered on the same day
- Inpatient coverage is a requirement; candidates unwilling to participate will not be considered
- Site requires providers to treat more than 12 patients per day
- Clinical areas include both outpatient and inpatient oncology settings
- Required duties include participation on a Tumor Board, management of Bone Marrow Transplants, Blood Bank oversight, ordering tests and images, and prescribing
- Documentation system: EPIC
- Board Certification in Hematology/Oncology required
- Active South Carolina license required
- BLS and DEA required
- Candidates must disclose availability of 2-4 weeks per month
- Clean background required
- Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60 days
- Travel reimbursement includes flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage billed at the IRS standard rate
Compensation:Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
