Optimizing thermoforming manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness; Developing, monitoring, and improving thermoforming processes for thin-gauge plastic packaging; Troubleshooting equipment and process issues including temperature profiles, screw design, melt flow, and sheet quality; Leading root cause analysis for process deviations, downtime, and scrap reduction initiatives; Developing and maintaining process documentation, SOPs, and control parameters; Supporting new product introductions, material trials, and equipment validation; Utilizing data analysis tools to track KPIs such as yield, scrap rate, cycle time, and machine efficiency; Assisting with capital projects, equipment upgrades, and installation of new extrusion lines; Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards; Collaborating with tooling vendors on mold design, modifications, and maintenance; Supporting installation, validation, and startup of new thermoforming equipment; Leading Lean / Six Sigma initiatives to improve throughput and reduce waste; Participating in Kaizen events and cross-functional improvement teams; Supporting new product launches, including trials and process validation; Working with R&D, quality, and production to ensure manufacturability; and Training operators and technicians on best practices and process standards. Job Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 5 years of experience in plastics manufacturing performing thermoforming operations, Mold design & Alignment, Process Parameter Tuning, industrial maintenance, plastic blister packaging, mold and tooling configuration, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), heavy-duty thermoforming molds, and tooling & spare parts sourcing; and 5 years of experience using PET Thermoplastics Materials, rPET thermoplastic materials, Microsoft Excel, manufacturing data analysis tools, robotics, KIEFEL thermoformers, and sheet quality.
