What You ll Do
- Evaluate adult patients with digestive system conditions and gastrointestinal symptoms.
- Perform patient consultations, assessments, and follow-up care.
- Perform upper and lower endoscopic procedures, including EGD and colonoscopy.
- Perform PEG tube placement and esophageal dilation.
- Develop and manage treatment plans for gastrointestinal conditions.
- Document patient care and procedures in the EPIC electronic medical record.
- Provide 24-hour call coverage, including in-person consultations and procedures as needed.
What You Need
Required - New York State medical license in hand
- Board certification
- AHA BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of recent gastroenterology experience within the last 2 years
- Experience with PEG tube placement and esophageal dilation
- Upper and lower scope experience
- EPIC experience
- Availability for full coverage across Monday through Sunday, with full weeks or consecutive dates preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred - Availability for full weeks or as many consecutive shifts as possible
