Radiology Physician

Practice Setting: Hospital-affiliated outpatient breast imaging center

Hospital: WellSpan York Hospital

Hospital Bed Size: 593 beds

Patient Population: Primarily adult female patients undergoing screening and diagnostic breast imaging

EMR: Epic

Imaging Systems: Visage PACS, Transpara AI, and Rad AI

Support Staff: Mammography and ultrasound technologists, breast imaging navigators, LPNs, and RNs

Coverage Needed: 2 4 weeks per month

Patient Volume:

• Screening mammograms: Approximately 100 per day

• Diagnostic mammography and ultrasound: Approximately per day, potentially with 2 additional contrast-enhanced mammograms

• Image-guided procedures: Up to 7 per day

Monday Friday, 7:30 AM 5:00 PM

Weekdays only

No evenings, weekends, or holidays

Coverage required for 2 4 weeks per month

Provide screening and diagnostic breast imaging services.

Interpret mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI studies.

Perform image-guided breast procedures, including:

• Stereotactic and tomosynthesis-guided breast biopsies

• Ultrasound-guided breast biopsies

• MRI-guided breast biopsies

• Image-guided breast needle localizations

Interpret contrast-enhanced mammography (CEM); experience preferred, but willingness to learn is acceptable.

Work within a comprehensive breast imaging service affiliated with a 593-bed community teaching hospital and an ACR-designated Breast Imaging Center of Excellence.

Board certification in Diagnostic Radiology through the American Board of Radiology (ABR)

Active Pennsylvania medical license or IMLC Letter of Qualification in hand

DEA registration required

BLS certification required

Breast imaging fellowship training or equivalent experience in comprehensive breast imaging

Ability to independently interpret breast MRI and perform image-guided breast procedures

Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 90 days
