Overview In this Senior Financial Analyst role, you support financial planning, reporting and analysis for Abbott Vascular in Temecula. You'll develop forecasts, monitor spend, and deliver actionable insights to management. You'll model scenarios, assess new opportunities and help shape financial decisions. You work with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and drive performance. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced healthcare environment with a strong focus on forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic planning.
Responsibilities- Develop detailed financial forecasts using historic and current data
- Monitor spending against budget and highlight material variances
- Prepare journal entries and assist month-end close
- Prepare and distribute financial reports and performance packages
- Conduct financial analyses (e.g., EVA, NPV) and recommend alternatives
- Evaluate new business opportunities and model financial scenarios
- Prepare sensitivity analyses on revenue, expenses, and profitability
- Develop and utilize sound financial processes
- Establish networks and potentially lead project teams
- Plan and organize non-routine tasks and manage priorities
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in month-end close, financial variance analysis, and forecasting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Excellent written and verbal communication
