Overview In this role you will serve as the hardware expert for a propulsion component, driving its design, testing, procurement, and integration. You will collaborate with suppliers and the using program to ensure the component meets requirements and performance goals. You'll own key task areas from concept through verification, contributing to Space's mission to advance propulsion capabilities. This is an opportunity to work in an integrated, cross-functional team at Lockheed Martin Space, solving complex propulsion challenges at scale.

Responsibilities- Serve as the responsible engineer and hardware expert for at least one propulsion component
- Interface with the supplier through design, build, test, and delivery
- Interface with the using program(s) and act as the technical advocate for the component
- Develop and verify component requirements
Key requirements- Bachelors degree in Engineering or related discipline
- Ability to work in a collaborative and highly integrated team environment
- Ability and desire to own tasks and drive to closure quickly and efficiently
- Understanding of mechanical and/or propulsion engineering principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
