Kernodle Clinic is Duke Health s flagship community-based, multi-specialty practice in the western market. We are recruiting a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Internal Medicine physician to join our established Burlington-based outpatient practice serving Alamance County, North Carolina.
Kernodle Clinic is Duke s largest community-based multi-specialty practice, with approximately 60 physicians and 46 advanced practice providers across 15 medical and surgical specialties, supported by a 75,000-square-foot main office, walk-in clinic, and multiple specialty satellite services.

- Internal Medicine Clinic - Burlington, NC (Outpatient)
Note: This opportunity is specific to the Burlington Internal Medicine practice. Prior references to Elon or Mebane Internal Medicine openings have been retired.

- Active teaching environment with rotating PA students and medical students
- Established outpatient Internal Medicine practice in Burlington
- Team-based culture with 10 physicians and 5 advanced practice providers
- Call: 1:15, office call only
- After-hours answering service fields first
- No inpatient responsibilities
- Typical patient volume: patients per day
- Abridge AI Scribe support
- Dedicated 1:1 MD:MA or nurse staffing model
- Active teaching environment with rotating PA students and medical students
Compensation & Benefits
Kernodle Clinic offers a robust compensation plan that rewards clinical productivity. Duke contributes 9% of base salary to the selected retirement plan, with excellent benefits, relocation support, and college tuition assistance for dependent children.
