Opportunity Overview

Full-time Infectious Disease Physician Assistant
Start date: December 14, 2026
1-year assignment
Outpatient setting
Adult patients
Approximately 12-15 patients per day
EPIC EMR
Work alongside RNs, CMAs, and physicians

Schedule & Coverage

Monday-Thursday, 8-hour shifts
Friday, half-day
5 days per week
Outpatient practice
No call requirement listed

Clinical Details

Infectious Disease specialty care
Recent HIV experience required
Perform physical assessments and review medical histories
Interpret diagnostic tests and results
Provide appropriate treatment
Conduct preventive health screenings
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment, and follow-up
Perform office-based specialty procedures within scope
Maintain accurate patient records
Support improvements in outpatient specialty care

Requirements

Physician Assistant
Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies
Board Certified through NCCPA
Valid North Carolina PA license
DEA required
BLS/CPR through AHA or American Red Cross
Minimum 3 years of experience
Recent HIV patient care experience required
EPIC experience
Credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days
