Overview In this role you will design, manage, and interpret consumer research to support Kohl's growth plans. You'll collaborate with marketing, merchandising, product development, and digital teams to turn insights into decisions. You'll deliver quantitative and qualitative study results and provide actionable recommendations. This position sits at the intersection of research and strategy, enabling cross-functional impact on brand and business objectives.
Responsibilities- Design, manage and deliver consumer research studies (strategic and tactical)
- Generate quantitative data and qualitative insights and write analyses
- Synthesize mixed-methods learning into actionable business recommendations
- Advise internal partners to clarify objectives and scope research
- Establish research scope, methodology, and resources
- Coordinate with outside vendors and the Customer Insights Manager on objectives and RFPs
- Collaborate with Insights team on projects and insights development
- Manage research projects: set requirements, monitor activities, ensure deadlines
- Identify key consumer insights to guide marketing, merchandising, and strategic decisions
- Consult on development and execution of initiatives using existing data and insights
- Communicate findings to internal partners and senior leadership
- Handle additional tasks as assigned
Key requirements- Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of experience in marketing research or applying market research to corporate strategy
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Suite
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Strong communication and storytelling of insights
- Advising and consulting with stakeholders
- SPSS (or comparable statistical software)
- Advanced analytics
- Experience with syndicated data, customer panels, and research project management
