Overview

In this remote role, you manage laboratory aspects of clinical trial projects from award through closeout, acting as the primary contact for sponsors. You will lead planning, risk management, and cross-functional coordination to ensure compliant, high-quality execution. You collaborate with sponsors and internal teams to address obstacles and maintain focus on delivery and customer satisfaction. This position supports transforming and accelerating R&D, contributing to impactful patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Manage clinical trial laboratory projects from award through closeout; ensure protocol requirements are understood and applied
  • Lead study setup activities, including protocol and budget review, start-up meetings, and risk management planning
  • Monitor timelines, deliverables, metrics, budgets, and handle scope changes and change orders
  • Act as the single point of contact for sponsors; lead communications, meetings, and issue triage/escalation
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources for timely, customer-focused problem solving
  • Oversee development of protocol-specific laboratory documentation and maintenance of laboratory specifications
  • Support proposal development, bid defense, and creation of sponsor/program-specific standards and procedures
  • Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement across projects
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences and/or related field (preferred)
  • 3+ years in a regulated laboratory environment
  • 2+ years of project management experience (not necessarily with formal PM title)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project delivery systems
  • Strong interpersonal and client management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Lab Trial Management Systems (LTMS)
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Clinical research terminology
