Overview

In this role you lead the Gas Team to deliver complex subsurface gas and electric utility projects, ensuring safety, quality, and budget adherence. You drive strategic direction, mentor engineers, and maintain strong client relationships across multiple locations. You will oversee staffing, resource allocation, and project performance, shaping outcomes that improve reliability and energy delivery. Responsibilities
  • Lead multidisciplinary gas engineering teams and maintain high morale and engagement
  • Oversee staffing, resource allocation, and project operations for gas infrastructure delivery
  • Mentor engineers and managers to ensure high-quality, safe, on-time, and on-budget work
  • Direct management of subsurface gas and electric utility projects from planning through closeout
  • Monitor financial performance and identify optimization opportunities
  • Maintain clear communication with leadership and project teams on milestones and outcomes
  • Champion QA/QC, risk management, regulatory compliance, and project audits to ensure safe, reliable gas solutions
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering
  • 15+ years of progressive engineering experience with leadership and client-facing PM experience
  • PE license required
  • Expert knowledge of engineering fundamentals, QA/QC, and relevant laws
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation and Microsoft Office
  • Proven track record leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with clients and leadership
  • Experience with utility infrastructure projects and regulatory compliance preferred
  • Ability to manage budgets, scope development, and proposal strategy
  • Experience supporting natural gas transmission and distribution systems preferred
