Overview In this role you will oversee daily laboratory operations, ensuring adequate staffing and timely, accurate testing. You will help recruit, train, evaluate, and payroll-related activities, while maintaining quality and regulatory compliance. You work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, inventory, and budgeting. This position offers impact through strengthening lab processes and contributing to patient care at a large non-profit health system.

Responsibilities- Supervise assigned subordinates across testing phases and perform delegated duties per CLIA Director guidance
- Plan schedules, assign tasks, and monitor staff; participate in hiring, orientation, training, evaluations, and disciplinary actions
- Contribute to policies and procedures for the laboratory, staffing, and scheduling
- Escalate staffing and other concerns to management in a timely manner
- Monitor inventory to ensure adequate supplies and proper quantities
- Assist in implementing quality assurance programs and maintain compliance records with regulatory agencies
- Review quality control, proficiency testing, instrument maintenance, QA records, and corrective actions
- Support preparation and monitoring of annual budgets
Key requirements- ASCP certification or equivalent MLS generalist
- Minimum 4 years of supervisor experience in a hospital laboratory
- CAP, CLIA, and Joint Commission accreditation standards highly desired
- Education: Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above minimum qualification
