Overview

In this role you will advance AstraZeneca's renal portfolio by engaging with clinicians and researchers to share scientific data, identify opportunities, and support evidence-based patient care. You will build peer-level relationships with KOLs, KDMs, and HCPs, and contribute to Clinical Development and Therapeutic Brand Team goals. You will lead field-based medical activities, deliver data presentations, and mentor colleagues while ensuring regulatory and compliance standards. This position offers meaningful scope to influence practice change and patient outcomes in a high-impact therapeutic area.

Responsibilities
  • Provide medical and scientific support for renal products and new indications
  • Engage with KOLs, KDMs, and HCPs to exchange scientific information
  • Identify investigators for pre-clinical, clinical, and post-marketing studies in line with development goals
  • Uncover barriers to optimal disease management and highlight opportunities to improve patient outcomes
  • Deliver clinical and scientific information to internal stakeholders and differentiate AstraZeneca products clinically
  • Lead and manage projects within the field medical team
  • Mentor and train colleagues in the therapeutic area
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain expertise in disease state management and competitive landscape
  • Deliver regional and national data presentations
  • Travel as required (50-70%) to fulfill responsibilities
Key requirements
  • Advanced clinical/Science degree or equivalent
  • 3 years experience in a clinical or commercial setting (MSL preferred)
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare system landscape
  • Established networks and clinical experience within renal TA focus
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Ability to discuss scientific content to diverse audiences
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership and project management capabilities
  • Thorough knowledge of regulatory environment
  • Ability to travel 50-70%
