ORTHOPAEDIC SURGERY ORTHOPAEDIC SPORTS MEDICINE

POSITION SUMMARY
The Department seeks an orthopaedic sports medicine specialist to join a growing surgical practice providing operative and non operative musculoskeletal care. The role includes collaboration with a multidisciplinary orthopaedic team, participation in a sports program with established clinicians, and access to both hospital based and freestanding surgical facilities. The position supports a mix of general orthopaedic responsibilities and sports focused care within a rapidly expanding region.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Board eligible or board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and/or Orthopaedic Sports Medicine.
• Residency training in orthopaedic surgery.
• Fellowship training in orthopaedic sports medicine.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in South Carolina.
• Training or experience in orthopaedic sports medicine.
COMPETENCIES
• Ability to manage sports related injuries and general orthopaedic conditions.
• Skill in performing operative and non operative musculoskeletal care.
• Capacity to collaborate with surgeons, non operative sports clinicians, and advanced practice providers.
• Commitment to patient centered orthopaedic and sports medicine care.
• Ability to support clinical operations across outpatient, inpatient, and surgical settings.
WORK SETTING & ENVIRONMENT
Work Environment: Hospital; Inpatient; Outpatient; Clinic/Private Practice; Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)
• Orthopaedic and sports medicine care delivered across clinic, operative, and inpatient settings.
• Collaboration with surgeons, non operative sports physicians, and advanced practice providers.
• Access to hospital operating rooms and freestanding surgical centers.
• Participation in shared emergency department call rotation.
• Engagement with community athletic programs.
