Locums - Johnstown, Pennsylvania Urology Opportunity (IMLC Accepted)

Clinical Role

RecruitWell is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Urologist for a locums opportunity in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. This assignment combines clinic, inpatient rounding, procedures, OR responsibilities, and 24-hour call coverage at a Level I Trauma Center. Holiday coverage is needed for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Assignment Details

• Coverage includes a mix of clinic and call

• Weekday and weekend coverage needed

• Typically 3-4 days of call per week

• Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday coverage needed

• Level I Trauma Center

• Approximately 85% outpatient and 15% inpatient

• Adult and geriatric patient population

• No pediatric coverage

Schedule & Coverage

• Call coverage: 8:00 am-8:00 am

• Practice office hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:00 pm

• One assigned OR day per week beginning at 7:00 am

• Coverage includes clinic, call, inpatient rounding, consults, and procedures

• Typically 3-4 call days per week

Practice Setting & Case Mix

• Approximately 85% outpatient

• Approximately 15% inpatient

• Patient population:

  • Adults: 40%

  • Geriatrics: 60%

  • Pediatrics: 0%

• Inpatient rounding: Approximately 2-4 patients

• Consult volume: Approximately 5-7 consults

• Provider must respond to consultations in a timely manner

Clinical Details & Responsibilities

• Provide general adult Urology care

• See clinic patients

• Provide inpatient rounding

• Respond to inpatient and emergency consultations

• Perform necessary Urologic procedures

• Participate in scheduled OR coverage

• Provide weekday and weekend call coverage as assigned

Procedures & Skills

Required:

• General adult Urology

• Stone management/destoning procedures

• Ureteroscopy

• TRUS biopsies

• Incontinence procedures

• Holmium Laser certification

Preferred:

• Percutaneous nephrolithotomy

• Radical cystectomy with ileal loop conduit

• Radical prostatectomy

• Fertility workup

Support & Technology

• EMR: Epic

• Current clinical team includes:

  • 2 physicians

  • 2 Physician Assistants

  • 1 Practice Manager

  • 1 RN

  • 4 clinical staff

  • 2 surgical schedulers

  • 5 front-office staff

Requirements & Credentialing

• Board Certified or Board Eligible required

• Must be eligible through one of the following:

  • American Board of Urology

  • American Osteopathic Board of Surgery - Urological Surgery

• Fellowship preferred

• Active Pennsylvania medical license preferred

• IMLC candidates accepted
