The facility features a 10-bed department with strong provider support and is designated as a Level 3 trauma center, offering a dynamic and well-resourced clinical environment.
Opportunity:Physician - Obstetrics and Gynecology
Job Details:- Provide comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology services with 5 patient encounters per shift
- Must hold an active Alaska medical license - only Alaska licensed providers will be considered
- Emergency credentialing required with an estimated credentialing timeframe of 5 days
- Board certification required (minimum board certification eligible)
- BLS and PALS certifications required
- Manage low and high risk pregnancies with full delivery services
- Perform FHR interpretation including NST/CST/FSE
- Perform OB ultrasounds including Level I/Screening (viability) and Level II/Targeted (anatomic) with performance and interpretation capabilities
- Perform amniocentesis procedures
- Handle routine deliveries including vaginal, low forceps, and decision-making for c-sections
- Manage complicated deliveries including c-sections, breech, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs
- Perform repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
- Provide office and minor gynecology services including IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP
- Provide surgical gynecology services including open procedures, laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures (tubal ligation, LOA's, chromo tubation), and operative/major procedures (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's)
