Opportunity:Physician - Cardiology
Job Details:- Serve as Medical Director of the Inherited Cardiovascular Disease Program (ICDP), leading a team of highly trained cardiovascular specialists
- Deliver superb clinical care to a diverse, medically complex patient population in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Oversee a multidisciplinary program for the care and management of patients with inherited cardiomyopathies, inherited arrhythmia syndromes, neuromuscular disease-related cardiomyopathy, and aortopathies/connective tissue diseases involving the aorta
- Proficiency required in nuclear, exercise and pharmacological stress testing, transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, and carotid ultrasound studies
- Provide consultative and follow-up care to adult cardiovascular patients across the Hartford Region, including Hartford Hospital and satellite offices
- Work collaboratively with a dedicated cardiac genetic counselor to continue developing the Inherited Cardiovascular Disease program
- Engage in extensive clinical research opportunities - research experience is required
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Medicine with experience in Inherited Cardiovascular Disease required
- Doctor of Medicine required; 1-2 years of experience preferred
