This is a community-based medical center serving the central Pennsylvania region with a 9-bed emergency department. The facility operates with a collaborative staffing model including physician, APP, and nursing coverage around the clock, along with robust support services including anesthesia, general surgery, laboratory, radiology, and orthopedic surgery available 24 hours a day.

Job Details:

• Locum Tenens coverage needed for multiple dates spanning October 2026 through June 2027
• Shifts available as both day (6am-6pm) and night (6pm-6am) coverage
• Provider staffing model consists of 1 Physician (6A-6P and 6P-6A) and 1 APP (11am-9pm) daily
• Nursing staffing includes 2 RNs around the clock plus a triage RN mid-day
• Additional support staff includes respiratory therapy, float RN, Nursing Supervisor, and Nurse Manager
• Patient encounters per shift vary; average daily census is 44
• Trauma Level 4 facility
• No Labor & Delivery department on-site; if delivery situation arises, provider should deliver and transfer to Conemaugh when stable
• Newborn deliveries may be received in the ED
• Must hold an active Pennsylvania medical license
• Board Certification in Emergency Medicine is required
• Credentialing timeframe is approximately 14 days
• Nearest airports are Pittsburgh or Latrobe; lodging recommendations are in the Altoona area
