Facility:
This busy community teaching hospital is a designated Level III Trauma Center with plans to pursue Level II Trauma Center verification in 2028. The facility features a well-established Acute Care Surgery Program with seven full-time surgeons, seven full-time Trauma Advanced Practice Providers, more than 25 Surgical and Critical Care APPs, and academic affiliations with the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and Quinnipiac University School of Medicine. In 2025, the trauma program evaluated more than 2,600 trauma patients and admitted over 1,300 patients, offering a high-volume and diverse clinical experience.

• Join a growing Acute Care Surgery Program offering two exciting physician opportunities within a collaborative, high-performing team
• Acute Care Surgeon / Surgical Intensivist role available for fellowship-trained candidates with a background in Surgical Critical Care and/or interest in trauma and acute care surgery
• Trauma Program Leadership opportunity available for an experienced Acute Care or Trauma Surgeon to help advance clinical excellence and guide program growth toward Level II Trauma Center designation
• Provide comprehensive trauma, emergency general surgery, and critical care services
• Participate in a growing robotic emergency general surgery program
• Opportunities to develop elective surgery practices based on individual clinical interests
• Mentor surgeons and APPs while supporting quality initiatives and education
