Locum - Physician - Oncology
Location: Greenville, South Carolina
Facility Overview: This opportunity is at a Free-Standing Cancer Center located in Greenville, SC. The practice emphasizes patient-focused care in a well-structured environment, serving an adult and geriatric population. With a team of five physicians and eight Advanced Practice Providers, the center is committed to delivering comprehensive oncology services.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide locum coverage in the Medical Oncology department.
- Participate in a multidisciplinary Tumor Board.
- Manage Bone Marrow Transplants and Blood Bank activities.
- Order tests and images, and prescribe appropriate treatments.
- Administer Chemotherapy in collaboration with Nurse Oncologists.
- Maintain outpatient and inpatient care as per the patient load.
- Ensure timely documentation using the EPIC EMR system.
- Participate in roundings for inpatient care as required.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology - Required
- Active South Carolina license - Preferred (will accept providers who need to obtain)
- BLS & DEA certification - Required
- Availability to provide 2-4 weeks of coverage per month - Required
- Clean background check required for emergency temporary positions - Required
- Disclosure of previous work at Bon Secours Health System, including facility name and last date worked - Required
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification in Hematology & Oncology
- Active South Carolina medical license (preferred, but not mandatory)
- BLS certification
- DEA certification
