A hospital in the New Castle, Delaware area is looking for a Cardiac Sonographer / Echo Technologist to join its cardiovascular imaging team!
Position Highlights

Permanent, full-time position

Day/evening shift: 10:00 AM 6:30 PM, Monday Friday

Five 8-hour shifts per week

Holiday, on-call, and occasional weekend rotation required

Primarily outpatient cardiac imaging, with occasional coverage at another location

Position Responsibilities
-
Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography) examinations to assist in the diagnosis of cardiovascular conditions.

Obtain high-quality cardiac images and document patient histories and examination findings.

Assist cardiologists during transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) procedures.

Support the clinical training of cardiac ultrasound students and cardiology fellows.

Provide compassionate patient care across a variety of age groups.

Participate in on-call and weekend coverage as scheduled.

Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
What We're Looking For

Graduate of a diagnostic medical ultrasound program, allied health program, or equivalent training

RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) certification, or registry eligibility
-
Registry-eligible candidates must obtain certification within one year of employment or eligibility.

CPR certification required

Cardiac sonography experience preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply.

Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a cardiovascular imaging team
