Intensivist Per Diem (PRN) Immediate Start Critical Care with APP Support

Position Overview
Inhospital Physicians is seeking per diem (PRN) Critical Care physicians to cover ICU shifts at Rapides Regional Medical Center, a 346-bed regional referral hospital and Level II trauma center in Central Louisiana. We are filling shifts now flexible scheduling for board-certified/board-eligible intensivists looking to add PRN work.
Position Highlights
- Hospital: Rapides Regional Medical Center (HCA Healthcare)
- ICU: 34-bed closed medical/surgical ICU
- Shifts: 12-hour day and night shifts; pick up the shifts that fit your schedule
- Coverage model: Days intensivists with APP support (APPs handle admissions); Nights 1 intensivist with 2 APPs
- Manageable volume approximately 6 ICU admissions per day
- Procedures: central/arterial lines, intubations, ventilator management
- Intensivists support codes and rapid response
- EMR: Meditech
- Full specialty backup: pulmonology, cardiology (Rapides Heart Center), surgery, oncology, stroke
Compensation
- Competitive hourly PRN rate (W-2) day and night rates; contact us for current rates
- Malpractice coverage including tail provided by IHP
- Credentialing support to get you on the schedule quickly
Requirements
- MD/DO, board certified or board eligible in Critical Care Medicine
- Active Louisiana license or ability to obtain (Louisiana is an IMLC state)
- Comfortable with independent procedures and night coverage
- Visa sponsorship is not available for per diem positions
