Participation in the GIG Nursing Program requires nurses to self-schedule a minimum number of hours, maintain flexibility for short-notice staffing needs, and accept the possibility of last-minute shift cancellations. GIG positions do not guarantee hours and are the first positions subject to cancellation.

Department Qualifications Required Education Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
Preferred Education BSN
Licensure Must maintain a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact state licensure and meet all applicable state board of nursing requirements.
Experience Certifications Preferred Experience Physical Requirements Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds regularly
Prolonged standing and walking during shifts
Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat while performing patient care duties
