Cardiac Surgeon Locum Tenens Opportunity CA
Position Overview
We are seeking a
Board-Certified Cardiac Surgeon for a temporary locum tenens assignment .The ideal provider will be available for a full-time schedule for at least 6 months.
The client is also open to considering multiple surgeons to share coverage. For example, three qualified surgeons could potentially rotate coverage with each physician working every third week.
Schedule & Coverage- Full-time coverage preferred
- Minimum 6-month commitment
- Flexible consideration for multiple providers to share the schedule
- Inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
- Hospital call coverage required
- Thoracic call included
- Must be available to participate in team meetings and department conferences as needed
Clinical ResponsibilitiesThe Cardiac Surgeon will be responsible for:
- Providing inpatient cardiac surgery coverage
- Taking hospital call, including thoracic call
- Performing cardiac surgery cases in the hospital
- Evaluating and treating patients in the outpatient clinic
- Seeing patients at the medical office building
- Communicating with patients and their families regarding care and treatment plans
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and department conferences as needed
- Collaborating with hospital staff and other members of the surgical team
Requirements- Updated CV ( No Gaps above 30 days)
- NPDB Self Query (Must be Current month)
- Board Certification required
- Must have appropriate cardiac surgery training and experience
- Must be comfortable providing both inpatient and outpatient care
- Must be willing to take cardiac and thoracic call
- Clean professional and credentialing history strongly preferred to facilitate a faster and smoother privileging process
- Active licensure and required credentials must be maintained throughout the assignment
