Job Description Job Description The APP provides comprehensive neurological care under the supervision of a board-certified neurologist. Responsibilities include evaluating patients, diagnosing and managing neurological conditions, prescribing medications, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, developing treatment plans, and educating patients and caregivers.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage new and established neurology patients
- Diagnose and treat a wide variety of neurological disorders
- Order and interpret laboratory studies, imaging, and diagnostic testing
- Prescribe medications and develop evidence-based treatment plans
- Perform approved in-office procedures (training provided as appropriate)
- Participate in infusion therapy management, including biologic therapies
- Coordinate care with referring physicians and specialists
- Complete accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation
- Educate patients and caregivers regarding diagnoses and treatment plans
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure exceptional patient care
Qualifications
Required
- Current Georgia APRN or PA license
- NP or PA Certificaion
- DEA registration
- Current BLS certification
- Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
- Strong computer and EMR skills
Preferred
- Neurology experience
- Infusion therapy experience
- Botox injection experience
- Athenahealth EMR experience
