Job Opportunity: Locum OB/GYN Physician in Mt. Pleasant, MI
We are seeking an experienced, board-certified OB/GYN physician to join a well-established team at a leading healthcare facility in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. This locum position will offer the opportunity to provide comprehensive care in a supportive environment, ensuring a balanced workload with the collaboration of a dedicated team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide OB call coverage every 5th week of the month.
- Deliver 24/7 hospital coverage, including 2 hours of gratis patient care.
- Manage various medical and surgical services, including:
- Labor & Delivery
- Emergency Department coverage
- Surgical procedures
- Urgent surgical needs
- Clinic consults for emergent cases
- Handle approximately 4 deliveries per day.
- Collaborate with support staff, including 2 Nurse Practitioners.
- Utilize Cerner EHR system for patient documentation.
Qualifications:
- Board-certified in OB/GYN.
- Active Michigan medical license.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in OB/GYN practice.
- Strong clinical skills in low-risk pregnancies, vaginal deliveries, C-sections, repair of lacerations, VBAC, and OB ultrasound.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Must maintain an active Michigan medical license (no exceptions).
- Board certification in OB/GYN is required.
