Job Details
- Position: Locum Tenens OB/GYN Physician
- Location: Mount Pleasant, Michigan
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: September 25, 2026
- Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
- Coverage: 24/7 hospital coverage with on-call responsibilities every 5th week of the month
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,290 - $7,450
- Patient Volume: Approximately 4 deliveries per day
- Clinical Support: 2 NPs on staff
- EHR: Cerner
Job Requirements
- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology required
- Active Michigan medical license required
- At least 2 years of OB/GYN experience required
- Experience with low-risk pregnancy care, vaginal deliveries, and C-sections
- Proficiency in repairing 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
- Experience with VBAC, OB ultrasound, and amniocentesis preferred
- Ability to provide on-call hospital coverage and respond to emergent surgical needs
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive OB/GYN coverage for labor and delivery services
- Respond to emergency department and urgent surgical needs as indicated
- Perform surgical coverage and manage emergent obstetric and gynecologic cases
- Complete clinic consults for emergent cases to determine need for admission
- Provide high-quality patient care during on-call coverage periods
- Work collaboratively with clinical support staff to ensure smooth patient flow and safe care delivery
