Maternal - Fetal Medicine Physician

Maternal-Fetal Medicine locums coverage in Michigan with low inpatient daily volume and resident support. Mix of inpatient rounding, consults, and high risk OB clinic supervision, with call that is largely phone based.

Highlights

• Low L&D and inpatient volume, 0 to 5 patients per day, averaging 2
• Level 3 NICU support, approximately 3,000 deliveries annually
• Call includes phone consults, in person evaluation as clinically needed, iCall back is minimal
• Time limited coverage need in January 2027

Practice Setting

• Outpatient based MFM role with inpatient rounding and consult responsibilities
• Review and round on inpatient MFM patients with residents
• Provide inpatient consults and phone consultations, in person evaluation available when needed
• Supervise residents in high risk OB clinic in Warren as needed

Schedule

• Day coverage scheduled
• Nightly call coverage on weekdays
• 24 hour call coverage on weekends
• Call is primarily phone based, iCall back is minimal

Cases and Procedures

• Required, amniocentesis
• Required, cerclage including rescue cerclage
• Required, external cephalic version
• Preferred, chorionic villus sampling

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board certified in Maternal-Fetal Medicine
• Michigan license required, will wait for license with active IMLC LOQ only, open to IMLC Physicians
• BLS and ACLS
