We seek a dedicated PTA to join our team in Redding, California, which serves a diverse population in a hospital setting. Our PTA will work collaboratively with a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver exceptional, evidence-based care aimed at helping individuals regain their strength and functionality. This full-time position operates on a Monday to Friday schedule from 9 AM to 5 PM.

As a PTA at Fortis Motion, you will work in a state-of-the-art hospital facility located in Redding, California. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver skilled physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed PT, adapting the treatment approach based on patient needs.
- Assist in executing individualized treatment plans, focusing on improving patients' mobility and overall functionality to enhance their quality of life.
- Continuously monitor and document patient progress, using objective metrics and feedback to adapt treatment activities as necessary.
- Collaborate with the supervising Physical Therapist and an interdisciplinary team to ensure effective patient outcomes, enhancing the rehabilitation experience.
- Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and strategies to support recovery, fostering a sense of empowerment and independence.
- Maintain an encouraging and motivating environment that instills confidence in patients, supporting their healing journey.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The PTA will engage with a varied clientele, including post-operative patients, individuals recovering from sports injuries, and those with neurological conditions requiring rehabilitation. Each patient will be treated with individualized care plans that are tailored to their specific needs, ensuring they are provided with the tools necessary for successful rehabilitation.
Qualifications
- Completion of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Possession of a current California PTA license or eligibility to obtain one before the start date.
- Demonstrable interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to positively impact the lives of others.
- A collaborative spirit with the ability to work independently when required, showcasing flexibility and initiative.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced hospital setting.
- CPR certification is required or must be obtained prior to the start date.
Preferred Experience
- At least 2 years of professional experience as a PTA, preferably in an outpatient or hospital rehabilitation environment.
- Experience treating a variety of conditions, including orthopedics, sports injuries, and neurological disorders.
Compensation and Benefits
Fortis Motion LLC offers a competitive salary range from $60,000 to $75,000, commensurate with experience.
