Work It PT is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic outpatient orthopedic care team in Redding, California. Work Environment
This position is onsite at our well-appointed hospital facility located in Redding, California. Our collaborative environment fosters teamwork among physical therapists, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation aides. Key Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans reflective of evidence-based practices to address each patient's unique musculoskeletal conditions.
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, functional activities, and mobility training to promote recovery and enhance physical capabilities.
- Utilize modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/cold therapy to relieve pain and assist in the rehabilitation process.
- Monitor patient progress meticulously, documenting observations and changes in condition, and effectively communicating this information to the supervising physical therapist.
- Educate patients on home exercise programs, providing them with the tools and knowledge to continue their recovery outside of our facility.
- Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records, adhering to all HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive and effective patient care, contributing to a holistic approach to rehabilitation.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In this role, you will interact with a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in California is required.
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field is mandatory.
- Proficiency in therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and various therapeutic modalities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, allowing for effective interaction with patients and team members.
Preferred Experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is preferred, with a focus on hands-on practice and patient education.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus, assisting with documentation and patient management.

Compensation and Benefits
