Job Summary
The Welder/Fitter I position is a vital member of the Operations Team contributing to our safety culture, providing high productivity, accurate fit-welds, high quality finish welds, flexibility in assignments, and supporting continuous improvement in the following capacities:
Key Responsibilities Include
- Fit small parts like chutes, brackets, troughs, plate pack parts, scum pipes, some floc parts, guards, some belt conveyor parts, some slide gate parts, supports
- Using blueprints, tooling, fixturing, fit-weld JMS equipment to proper dimensional arrangements
- Perform Tig welds on a variety of thicknesses, sizes, and orientations of equipment (mainly 316 and 304 SS)
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
- Use basic hand tools such as tape measure, level, square, etc.

Desired Experience and Skills
- Knowledge of fabrication processes such as bending, punching, welding, etc
- Read tape measure
- Perform mathematical calculations required for fabrication
- Understand and comfortable adding and subtracting fractions and decimals
- Basic tool and shop knowledge
Education
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
